Happy Monday! Last weekend Gardner and I went on a weekend getaway to the amazing Lake Placid, and I wanted to share with you guys where to stay and details. If you haven’t been to Lake Placid before, I highly recommend you take a trip – we usually go once or twice a year 🙂 I like to refer to Lake Placid as the “Aspen” of the East Coast! We stayed at Lake Placid Lodge, which is the only hotel/resort actually on Lake Placid. If you’re looking for something private and exclusive, I recommend you book a “lakefront cabin” – it really gives you the feel of being secluded in your very own private cabin in the woods.
We pretty much stayed in the cabin the entire time (because of covid). We never even left for food because we ordered room service the whole time. For dinner, I ordered the colossal shrimp cocktail and the charcuterie board (I highly recommend if you’re a meat and cheese board lover.)
BATHROOM
Let’s talk about the bathroom! First off, the floors have radiant heating, so you’ll never be cold when you get in and out of the shower. This cabin features an amazing walk-in shower, a large soaking tub that easily fits two people! The bathroom is fully stocked with L’Occiatine toiletries and products – which honestly is one of my favorite things!
There’s a large wood-burning fireplace! Lake Place Lodge provides a large stack of wood for you to build the perfect fire to relax by – they also provided a s’more making kit, which was so yummy and very thoughtful touch!
